ABOUT
A section of the original painting, this mother and calf was a joy to paint. I am always searching for a deeper understanding of the natural worlds interconnectedness of all of life. In particular, the emotional connection and altruism that has been listed with humpbacks. In apparent displays of altruism, they have been documented putting their own wellbeing at risk to come to the aid of a smaller species in distress. Under the sea, yet very connected to us and our actions. These majestic creatures inspire me.
